Greetings and welcome to DINING OUT TOASTMASTERS CLUB #9951, the Premier Advanced Leadership Toastmasters Club in Southeast Texas!
As the 2010-2011 President of Dinning Out Toastmasters, it is with pleasure and great pride I invite you to visit and become a member of this prestigious club. At Dining Out Toastmasters, everyone sharpens and shares their Toastmasters skills to show, teach and uplift all who attend to become better communicators and leaders. Dining Out Toastmasters members are dedicated to perfecting the art of successful and masterful meetings, while mentoring current and future district leaders. This leadership club models best practices to run fun-filled, memorable and very enjoyable meetings. As the Advanced Leadership Toastmasters Club in District 56, Dining Out Toastmasters will "Put On a Good Show" all the time every time. Our club roster list reads like a "Who's Who" list of local Toastmasters, with many current and past district and International leaders. Each meeting is a showcase of the BEST of Toastmasters.
Guests are always welcome! Please join us as we travel around the district to a different restaurant each month. We visit each division in District 56 twice each year. Check our club calendar for meeting locations in your area.
(There's no cost to attend; all attendees are responsible for their own food bill.) To join, you must have already achieved your Competent Communicator (CC) or Competent Toastmaster (CTM) award.

Toastmasters: Achieving Greatness Together
Congratulations to Michael Williams
Third Place Winner in Semifinals at International Speech Contest
Representing District 56 in the International Speech Contest, DOT Member Michael Williams was awarded Third Place in Contest 9 of the First Toastmasters International Semi-finals International Speech Contest on Thursday, August 12th in Palm Desert, California.
81 District Champions were randomly divided to compete in nine different semifinal contests in hopes of advancing to the final round and becoming the World Champion of Public Speaking.
About a dozen members of District 56 were in the audience to show their support for Michael along with some of his family members from the Los Angeles area. Michael drew the first speaking position in his semifinal round and was successful in drawing the audience in with an incredible presentation of his speech THE POWER OF A LINE. While Michael did not get to advance to the finals, he did give the world a glimpse of the powerful speakers of District 56!
Congratulations Michael!
